MINUTES FROM JUNE 4 MEETING
Beautification – Jessie Harris – The letters on the sign are coming apart. Jessie painted them again but we need to look into some plastic or metal or pvc letters to replace them. July 20 is set for the bush-hog again but we need to weed the ditch in between. Safety and Crime Watch – Jim Dickson reported one of the neighbors has a pit bull that attacked his dogs. It was suggested that we put a reminder in the newsletter about “aggressive” dogs. It was also reported by one of the residents that her mail box has been opened several times. Several others were seen opened in the early morning. A reminder will be put in the newsletter about this also. School is out and children will be playing and riding bikes in the street. We need to practice caution. Welcoming & Benevolence – Cards to be sent to Ag and Ben DeClue on their 64th wedding anniversary and a get well card to Sandy Hosch. Social Committee/Fund-Raising – A fund raising yard sale was tentatively scheduled for November when the snow birds return. It will be held in the front section. Scharlene will donate hot dogs and sodas. The association will advertise “Free hot dog and drink with purchase of $3 or more”. Otherwise they will be for sale. New Business: The group voted to reimburse Jessie Harris his expenses for the Neighborhood Conference in St. Pete in July. Storage Center – closing for new owners is set for June 15 at 9 am. They are thinking about adding RV storage area with 12 foot fence. Next meeting – July 2 There were 14 present.
Next meeting of Sunshine Tree Association will be July 2 at house 1019.
